The gateway to the Rocky Mountains, Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta as well as being the centre of its tourism. This is thanks to its close proximity to the mountains and its famous national parks; Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. It is also a result of its spectator sports, with July’s Calgary Stampede being one of the city’s biggest draws.

Calgary can easily be discovered by public transportation or on foot, though having your own vehicle makes it easy to go on day trips to its stunning natural surroundings. A campervan is a popular way to do this and also allows visitors to save a few pounds on accommodations. There are a few parksfound right near the city that make it easy to explore Calgary and its surroundings, but these are the top 5 campervan parks near Calgary Canada.

Country Lane RV Park – This beautiful gated campervan Park is just a 25-minute drive from the city and features a gym, a swimming pool and 290 sites. In the immediate area are three golf courses, 25 miles of walking trails and the unique Old Town Okotoks.

Calway Park Stay & Play – This all-inclusive campervan park is part of the Calway Park theme park, which is the largest outdoor family amusement park in Western Canada.
