1. Griffith Observatory

5. Balboa Municipal Golf Course

If you’re looking for Los Angeles golf courses, avid golfers will surely not be disappointed with this magnificent 18-hole course. Designed by William P. Bell and Sons, this course has been a favorite location among golfers since 1954. Lush trees lining the course enhance the environment’s tranquility. The course additionally features a pro shop, restaurant and lounge. Golfzing routinely has discounts for this and other golf courses.

6. Universal Studios

Families from all around the world come to this amusement park each year to enjoy rides, shows and studio tours. Notable rides include the Jurassic Park River Adventure and Revenge of the Mummy. Tram tours provide more information on the park’s history and take visitors to several sets used in famous movies.

7. Angels Flight Railway


This charming attraction also has the distinction of being the world’s shortest railway. Visitors have the opportunity to ride one of the railway cars up a hill for a nominal fee. The railway only travels a single city block between Hill Street and Olive Street.

8. Pueblo de Los Angeles

Buildings more than a century old still stand in this oldest part of Los Angeles. Early immigrants established the pueblo as part of a permanent settlement. Many shops and restaurants serving authentic Mexican food can be found along Olvera Street.

9. Chinatown

This notable neighborhood hosts many cultural events throughout the year. Many of the structures within the district were constructed to resemble similar buildings found in China. Chinatown also boasts elaborate temples and numerous restaurants and shops.

10. Grammy Museum

Some of music’s most iconic performers are honored inside this impressive museum. Many of the performers’ stage costumes and awards are showcased for visitors to behold. Interactive exhibits provide an even more enriching experience.
